Gayle Barrett, Ed.D. has extensive work experience in the field of education and enrollment management. Gayle is currently serving as the Associate Vice President for Enrollment & Retention Services at Connecticut State Community College since August 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Connecticut State Colleges & Universities as a Student Success Center Coach and later as a Guided Pathways Manager/Student Success Center Coach, where they played a key role in implementing Guided Pathways efforts and creating a state-wide advising model for community college students.

Before joining the Connecticut State Colleges & Universities, Gayle worked at Middlesex Community College, CT as the Director Of Enrollment Management and the Director of Admissions. Gayle also served as a Nursing Admissions Specialist at CT Community Colleges and as the Director of Continuing Education at St. Vincent's College. Earlier in their career, they worked at Post University as an Associate Director of Admissions and at Manpower as a Staffing Specialist.

Gayle Barrett, Ed.D. has a strong background in enrollment management, admissions, and student success initiatives, making their a valuable asset to the educational institutions they have worked with.

Gayle Barrett, Ed.D. obtained a Doctor of Education - EdD degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Hartford. Prior to their doctoral degree, they completed their Master's in Counseling at Central Connecticut State University. Gayle also holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Stonehill College. In addition, they have obtained a certification as a Certified Guided Pathways Coach from Jobs for the Future in 2019.
