Lee Spanger

Director of Community Based Services at CONNECTIONS FOR KIDS

Lee Spanger is currently the Director of Community Based Services at CONNECTIONS FOR KIDS. Prior to this, Spanger worked as a private practice clinician for ten years, during which time they established a successful clinical practice focusing on trauma interventions. In 2002, they were selected by the state child welfare agency to participate in a training initiative for a federal demonstration project. Additionally, Spanger has worked as a crisis clinician in an emergency department and Piscataquis County Jail, providing psychiatric and chemical dependency triage as well as crisis assessments and treatment to corrections populations.

Lee Spanger earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology/Sociology from North Adams State College. Lee then went on to earn a Master's in Social Work from Boston College.

They are on a team with William Messer - Director of Residential & School-Based Services, Brian Hegg - Program Coordinator of Kittery Academy & Kittery Kids Academy, and Kerry Jamieson - Director of Human Resources. and Emily Webster - Clinical Supervisor, Community Based Services reports to Lee Spanger. Lee Spanger reports to Genevieve Gardner, Executive Director.
