Michiel Nijdam

Michiel Nijdam is an experienced professional in the fields of corporate strategy and economics, currently serving as the Head of Strategy at the Port of Rotterdam since March 2015. Nijdam has held various roles within the organization, including Manager of Business Analytics & Intelligence and Corporate Strategist, providing advice on corporate strategy and commercial development. Additionally, Nijdam is an Advisory Board Member at Erasmus School of Economics and a member of the Supervisory Board at Connekt. From August 2010 to February 2015, Nijdam was the Executive Director of RHV, a research institute affiliated with Erasmus University Rotterdam, and has also served as a senior researcher and project leader in Port Economics at Erasmus University. Nijdam earned a Master of Science in Business and Economics, specializing in Port and Transport Economics, and a PhD from the Rotterdam School of Management.
