Kate Coffey has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Kate has worked as a Senior Business Analyst for Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group (CC&L) since 2018, where they have undertaken various projects including business process improvement initiatives and product restructuring assessments. Kate has also worked as a Business Analyst and Advisor for Catalyste+ in 2023, where they assessed and provided recommendations for the growth of a women's cooperative in the Philippines. Additionally, Kate has worked as a Senior Business Advisor/Coach for Land O'Lakes Venture37, where they focused on creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and increasing incomes in conflict-affected communities in Sri Lanka. Kate has also worked as an Independent Contractor and Management Consultant for organizations such as Credential, Land O'Lakes Venture37, and Spinal Injury Sangh Nepal. Their roles involved project management, business capacity building, and strategic planning. Kate also has experience in the microfinance sector, having explored the impact of microfinance programs and social enterprises in Bangladesh during their time with BRAC's Visitor Program. Prior to their current roles, they worked as a Manager of Business Initiatives for RBC Wealth Management, PH&N Investment Counsel, where they played a key role in the integration of two high net worth businesses. Kate Coffey's education history is as follows:
In 1991, they attended Technological University Dublin, where they earned an Associate Degree from the Institute of Personnel Development in HR Management. Kate completed their studies in 1994.
In 2001, Kate attended the Canadian Association of Management Consultants and completed a course on Essentials of Management Consulting.
During the same year, they also obtained a certification in Managing Technology Projects from SFU Adult Education, certified by the Project Management Institute.
In 2020, Kate enrolled in the University of Alberta and completed a course called Indigenous Canada, which explored Indigenous histories and contemporary issues in Canada.
Kate also participated in the WEOC 2020 Learning Sessions organized by the Women's Enterprise Organizations of Canada, focusing on Women's Entrepreneurship.
Looking ahead, Kate has plans to pursue further education in 2023. Kate is scheduled to earn a certificate in Historical, Systemic and Intersectional Antiracism: From Awareness to Action from The University of British Columbia. Additionally, they will complete the I Know Gender: Modules 1-3 program offered by the UN Women Training Centre, focusing on Gender Concepts, Frameworks for Gender Equality, and Promoting Gender Equality.
