Dr. Daniel Halmer

Dr. Daniel Halmer has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as the founder and managing director of CONNY since February 2019. Prior to that, they held the same role at wenigeermiete.de (LexFox) starting from January 2017. Dr. Daniel also served as the General Counsel and Head of Business Development at Raisin GmbH from an unspecified date in 2014 until 2017.

Before venturing into startups, Dr. Halmer gained valuable corporate law experience working as a Senior Associate at Hengeler Mueller for six years, where they provided legal counsel to various companies, including blue-chip companies and SMEs. Dr. Daniel specialized in corporate law, covering areas such as corporate transactions, M&A, and ECM/DCM transactions.

Dr. Halmer's experience extends beyond legal roles. Dr. Daniel worked as a Foreign Associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in 2011 and served as a Deputy Civil Law Notary at the Chamber of Notaries Public in Bavaria from 2006 to 2007. Dr. Daniel also worked as a Legal Clerk at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in 2002 and had a summer internship at McKinsey & Company in 1999.

Dr. Daniel Halmer has a diverse education history. In 1993, they attended Harvard University for the Secondary School Program. Dr. Daniel then graduated from Ignaz-Günther Gymnasium in Rosenheim in 1995. Dr. Halmer pursued higher education at Universität Passau, where they earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) in Law in 2002. Additionally, they completed a Master's Degree in Business Administration (BWL) at the same institution from 1996 to 2003. As part of their academic journey, they participated in the General Course at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 1998-1999, focusing on law and economics. Dr. Halmer continued their education at Freistaat Bayern, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) as part of the Second State Examination in 2005. Dr. Daniel then further advanced their knowledge and expertise as a Visiting Researcher at Harvard Law School in 2005-2006, focusing on Law and Economics/Economic Analysis of Law. Dr. Halmer completed their educational journey by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Law from Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München in 2006.
