Shaheen Kassim-Lakha has extensive work experience in various organizations. From 1990 to 1996, they worked as an Environmental Epidemiologist in the City of Toronto. Following this, from 1996 to 2000, they held a position as a Manager at Cedars-Sinai. In 2000, they joined UniHealth Foundation as a Senior Program Officer and worked there until 2007. During this time, they gained significant experience in program management. In 2007, they joined Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and held multiple roles. Initially, they served as the Director of International Programs, overseeing various program areas and leading grant programs related to global health issues. In 2019, they transitioned into the role of Director of Strategic Partnerships, focusing on developing collaborations and relationships with funders and partners to enhance the impact of the Hilton Foundation. Shaheen Kassim-Lakha's work experience demonstrates their expertise in program management, strategic planning, and external engagements.
Shaheen Kassim-Lakha holds a Doctor of Public Health degree from UCLA. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's Degree in Public Health from UCLA as well. Their education journey began with a Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of London.
