Darrin Rice

Darrin Rice is the current Chief Financial Officer for the Conroe Independent School District.

Darrin has over 25 years of experience in management, sales, and operations. Darrin began their career as an assistant manager for The Home Depot in 1993 and was quickly promoted to Lead Dispatcher for Cardinal Logistics Management in 2005. In 2006, they became Vice President of Operations and Sales for ReNew Refinishing Systems Inc., where they increased sales from $8,000 to over $62,000 per month.

In 2008, Darrin decided to start their own business, ReNu Refinishing LLC, where they managed total operations and a sales team. Darrin successfully ran the business for two years before selling it in 2010.

After a brief stint as a security consultant for Ackerman Security, Darrin landed a job as a staffing specialist for Hire Dynamics in 2012. Darrin was promoted to Recruiter for the Adecco Group in 2015, where they worked until 2019 when they accepted their current position as CFO for the Conroe Independent School District.

Darrin Rice has an Associate of Arts in Business/Computer Programming from Spartanburg Technical College. Darrin also has certification from the American Staffing Association as a Certified Staffing Professional.

Darrin Rice works with Tamika Taylor - Assistant Superintendent, Student Support Services, Chris McCord - Assistant Superintendent, Operations, and Hedith Sauceda-Upshaw - Assistant Superintendent, Teaching & Learning. Darrin Rice reports to Curtis Null, Superintendent.
