Richard Sven Shelgren

Richard Sven Shelgren has a long history of work experience in the film and media industry. Richard Sven began their career in 1986 as an Executive Producer at Stiefel & Co. Richard Sven then moved to Dektor Film in 1994, where they served as an Executive Producer. In the same year, they founded Shelgren Media (formerly RCR Inc.), where they served as the Owner & Executive Producer until 2013. From 2013 to 2014, they were the Executive Producer at Wildflower Films, and then moved to RINGER.tv in 2014, where they served as an Exec Producer. In 2010, they were a Line Producer at Stun Creative, and in 2011 they were an Executive Producer at CRASH+SUES post prod & VFX. From 2008 to 2019, they were a Consultant and Manager at House of Props. Most recently, they were the Festival Director at the Ojai Film Festival from 2019 to 2022, and is now the Head of Operations and Programming at Conscious Good.

Richard Sven Shelgren attended Haverford College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies and Film. Richard Sven then pursued a Masters program in Film Production at Columbia University School of Arts.
