Ashwin Varghese

Ashwin Varghese is a dedicated mental health professional with extensive experience in psychiatry and education. Currently serving as a Volunteer at Conscious Planet since December 2021, Ashwin previously held the position of Psychiatrist at Monash Health from November 2018 to March 2022. Ashwin's academic contributions include serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Dalhousie University between 2016 and December 2020. Additionally, Ashwin worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Nova Scotia Health Authority from 2015 to August 2017 and as a Research Associate in Early Psychosis at Orygen in 2008-2009. Educationally, Ashwin obtained a Psychiatry Residency from Dalhousie University (2009-2014), an MD from University College Cork (2003-2008), a Master of Science in Psychoneuroendocrinoimmunology from McMaster University (2000-2003), and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from Queen's University (1997-2000).
