Alvaro Vanegas

Alvaro Vanegas is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in translation, interpretation, and human rights advocacy. Currently serving as a Certified Official Translator and Interpreter for the Judiciary System of Ecuador since October 2017, Alvaro holds the position of President at CONAPIT, a non-profit organization established in July 2020. As Vice President of FEMIR, a federation of associations focused on migrant issues, Alvaro also contributed as a consultant for the Municipal Council for Groups in Preferential Situation in Quito until December 2022. With a background in education as an ESL teacher and assistant professor at various institutions, Alvaro has additionally held roles in customs and logistics at Hyundai Engineering & Construction and procurement at Chevron. Alvaro's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Business Administration in Advertising from Instituto Universitario de Nuevas Profesiones.
