Pedro Hartung

Pedro Hartung serves as the Executive Director of Alana Foundation since January 2023, leading efforts to promote innovative projects aimed at improving children's futures globally. Hartung has a long-standing tenure at Instituto Alana, starting in September 2007, where roles have included Head of Legal Policy, Program Coordinator, and Advocacy Coordinator. Additional positions include Counselor at the Human Rights Observatory for the Conselho Nacional de Justiça, Visiting Professor at FGV, Co-Founder of Advocacy Hub, and Lecturer at Harvard University. Hartung's academic background features significant research and leadership training from prominent institutions, including Harvard Law School and Max Planck Institute, complemented by a Ph.D. in Human Rights and Public Law from USP - Universidade de São Paulo.
