Cynthia Tapley

Chief Development Officer at Conservation International

As Conservation International’s Chief Development Officer, Cynthia Tapley provides the overall direction and leadership for the organization’s philanthropic strategy.

Cynthia leads the Development team to attract, engage and steward individuals and foundations to become lifelong supporters and champions of Conservation International’s mission. Cynthia joined the organization in 2016 as Vice President of Donor Experience, where she led Development communications and the experiential travel departments.

Prior to joining Conservation International, Cynthia spent a dozen years in marketing-fundraising roles at The Nature Conservancy and World Wildlife Fund. Before finding her niche in conservation, she held strategy, business development and marketing roles in the private sector in the US and Europe. Cynthia holds an M.B.A. from Yale. She is based in California.
