David Hunt

David Hunt is a Senior GIS Manager at Conservation International, where responsibilities include leading the GIS/Science component of Climate Positive Approaches and expanding the Firecast tool for Amazonian countries. Prior to this role, David served as a Spatial Coordinator, collaborating on climate change mitigation analysis for the Walmart Foundation, and as an Environmental Scientist at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, focusing on GIS mapping and coastal erosion assessment. David's academic background includes a Master of Science in Geographical Information Science from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Earth and Environmental Science from the University of Michigan. Additional experience includes serving as a Course Demonstrator at the University of Edinburgh, teaching foundational GIS courses.
