Retlhobogile Botebele

Retlhobogile Botebele currently serves as the Head of Finance and Administration at Conservation International since February 2025, overseeing GCF reporting, operations management, grants and contracting, and procurement. Previously, Retlhobogile held positions including Finance Admin & Operations for the GCF Project at Conservation International, Project Lead and Senior Public Finance Expert at UNDP-BIOFIN & Climate Promise, Finance Manager at GIZ Office Gaborone, Senior Finance Officer, and Finance Officer for GIZ (German Development Cooperation). Earlier experience includes roles as an Economist/Systems Analyst at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning in Botswana, focusing on securing funds and monitoring development projects. Educational qualifications include a Baccalaureus Commerccii in Economics from the University of the Western Cape and various certifications in project and organizational leadership.
