Rick Nash

General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at Conservation International

Rick Nash is the current General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at Conservation International. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel at GXS from January 2008 to December 2014.

At GXS, Nash was responsible for the company's global legal and regulatory affairs. Rick oversaw direct operations in more than 20 countries and led a team of 3000 employees. Rick was also instrumental in acquiring Inovis, a large competitor, as well as InterChange (Brazil), Amitive and Rollstream.

Nash successfully managed legal and regulatory aspects of the company’s sale to Open Text (OTEX) for $1.2 billion in 2014. Rick is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law.

Rick Nash holds a Doctor of Law from Columbia Law School, as well as an International Fellows Program from Columbia | SIPA. Rick also holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public & International Affairs at Princeton University. Rick is certified to practice law in New York and the District of Columbia.
