Will Turner

Will Turner serves as Senior Vice President and Senior Scientist at Conservation International, where Will is the founding director of the Center for Natural Climate Solutions, leading efforts to redirect human misuse of ecosystems towards large-scale carbon absorption. In March 2024, Will Turner became a Board Member of the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market, which governs high-quality carbon credits to facilitate private financing for emission reductions. Previous experience includes a researcher position in Public & International Affairs at Princeton University and a role as a computer engineer at IBM. Will Turner's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology from the University of Arizona and a BS in Computer Engineering and Zoology from The University of Texas at Austin.
