Kenji Ogura

Director - IP Core Engineering at Consolidated Communications

Kenji Ogura has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Kenji started their career at Minnesota Power in 1986 as a Systems Programmer and progressed to the role of Systems Programmer III. Kenji then joined Minnesota Power / MP Telecom as a Network Analyst II and later became a Network Analyst Senior. In 1999, they moved to MP Telecom as a Network Architect and then transitioned to MP Telecom / Enventis Telecom as the Manager of ISP Operations. In 2006, Kenji joined Consolidated Communications as the Network Engineer V / Manager of IP Core Engineering. In this role, they were responsible for the architecture and maintenance of the IP/MPLS network infrastructure across a 24-state service area. Recently, Kenji has been serving as the Director of IP Core Engineering at Consolidated Communications, leading a team of engineers in designing and implementing network solutions leveraging MPLS-based IP core technology.

Kenji Ogura has studied Geology & Computer Science at the University of Minnesota Duluth. In 2014, they obtained the certification of MEF - Carrier Ethernet Certified Professional 2.0 (MEF-CECP 2.0).
