Jim Keaney has extensive work experience in the manufacturing industry, with a focus on automotive components. Jim has held various managerial roles throughout their career, starting as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy from 1992 to 1997. After leaving the Navy, Jim joined Federal-Mogul Powertrain in 1997, where they initially served as a supervisor and eventually became the Plant Superintendent. During this time, they played a key role in transforming a commodity incandescent bulb manufacturing facility into a leading market position for LED interior ambiance production. Jim then moved on to become the Plant Manager at another Federal-Mogul Powertrain facility, where they successfully doubled sales and increased profitability. In 2012, Jim took on the role of Plant Manager at Federal-Mogul Motorparts, overseeing a Tier 1 automotive friction manufacturing facility. Jim led the plant through a strategic rationalization and achieved significant business transformation. In 2016, Jim joined Consolidated Metco as the Director of Operations and Manufacturing Execution Systems, where they have overall responsibility for two non-union commercial vehicle wheel end manufacturing facilities. Jim is also leading the development and implementation of the company's manufacturing execution system across all North American sites.
Jim Keaney attended the United States Naval Academy from 1987 to 1991, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. In 2019, they enrolled in The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and completed the RISE Executive Education Program, focusing on Results, Insights, Strategies, and Empowerment.
