Bernard Bernie Barton

Bernard "Bernie" Barton is the newest member of CMI's Board of Directors.

Mr. Barton graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in 1969, a Juris Doctor in 1975 and a Masters In Tax in 1976. He immediately started law practice with Holland & Knight in its Lakeland office. During the late 70's, Mr. Barton was introduced to and started providing legal tax advice to CMI's Founder and his various companies.

Bernie is currently a Senior Partner at Holland & Knight. He has also served on several boards and been in executive roles with not for profit organizations throughout his career. Prior to the sale of the Company to the ESOP, Bernie served as the trustee of a trust Mr. Gregg created for the beneficiaries of his estate. His many years of experience with all of Mr. Gregg's companies brings significant value to CMI.
