Donna Morin has been a dedicated Special Education Teacher at the Consolidated School District of New Britain since 1979, with a career that includes two years as a PAVE Teacher, four years as an Inclusion Teacher utilizing the System 44 Computerized Reading Program, seven years with the READ 180 Program, and six years teaching in a self-contained classroom. Donna Morin has extensive experience working with Language Impaired and Learning Disabled students, totaling 16 years. Prior to this, Donna Morin taught Special Education at Mt. St. John's Academy from September 1975 to June 1979. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Regular and Special Education and a Master’s degree in Special Education from St. Joseph College, earned between 1969 and 1973.

The role of the Board of Education is to institute policies, allocate funds (adopt and monitor the school district's budget), monitor student achievement, and be an education advocate and liasion with the public and other government/community agencies and elected officials in conjunction with the Superintendent.
