Thomas Poulose has a diverse range of work experience in the engineering field. Thomas currently works as a Project Manager at CONSOR Engineers since 2023. Previously, they were a Project Manager at Michael Baker International from 2019 to 2023, where they led a hydrology and hydraulic modeling project for the Louisiana Watershed Initiatives Region 6 Eastern Central Louisiana Coastal. Thomas also held the positions of Civil Engineer I and Civil Associate at the same company. Prior to that, Thomas worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at El Paso from 2018 to 2019, where they developed system dynamic and watershed models. Thomas also has extensive international experience, having worked as a Project Manager and Country Manager in Rwanda, Africa for WAPCOS Limited from 2012 to 2018. Their responsibilities included technical design, tender engineering, and construction supervision for a multimillion-dollar project.
Thomas Poulose, P.E, CFM, M.ASCE has a diverse educational background. Thomas completed their MS in Civil Engineering with a focus on Water and Environmental from The University of Texas at El Paso in the years 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut from 2008 to 2012. Thomas also received their primary education at Kendriya Vidyalaya from 1996 to 2007.
In addition to their formal education, Thomas Poulose has obtained several certifications. Thomas is a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) from the TEXAS FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION, having achieved this certification in December 2021. Thomas is also a Professional Engineer, certified by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in April 2021. Furthermore, Thomas is an Associate Member/Chartered Engineer of the Institute of Engineers India (IEI), which they obtained in July 2017.
