Amy McLaughlin, MS, MA, CISSP, CISM, CETL, CHPS, CDPSE has a wealth of experience in the information technology and security field. Amy began their career in 1998 as the Agency Web Coordinator at the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services. In 2000, they took on the role of Lead Business Analyst & Webmaster at the Oregon Department of Human Services, as well as an Adjunct Faculty position in Psychology at Chemeketa Community College. In 2003, they moved to the Oregon Department of Revenue, taking on the roles of Chief Information Security Officer & Network Services Manager. In 2007, they joined the Oregon Department of Administrative Services as the Information Security Program Manager & Acting Deputy State CISO. In 2009, they returned to the Oregon Department of Revenue as the Information Technology Business Relationship Manager. In 2011, they joined the Oregon Department of Education as the Director of IT Operations, Acting Deputy CIO & State E-Rate Coordinator. In 2017, they joined Oregon State University as the Executive Director of Technical and Solutions Architecture and Director of Information Services. Finally, in 2018, they joined the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) as a Cyber Security & Network Consultant & Project Lead.

Amy McLaughlin has an extensive education history. In 2016-2017, they obtained a Master of Science in Information Technology Management from Western Governors University. Amy also holds a Master of Arts in Marriage & Family Therapy from Bushnell University. Amy obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and History from the University of Oregon. Additionally, they have taken courses at Chemeketa Community College in Business, Technology, Social Sciences, Hospitality & Tourism Management, and English Language and Literature/Letters & Medieval Scottish History at the University of Aberdeen.

McLaughlin also has several certifications. These include Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) from ISACA in 2020, Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL) from COSN in 2016, Oregon Project Management Associate from the State of Oregon - Oregon Project Management Advisory Board in 2009, Resiliency Facilitator from Al Seibert Resiliency Center in 2006, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2005, and Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS) from AHIMA in 2019.
