Julia Masterman is a Science Education and Outreach Coordinator at the Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Science, Inc. (CUAHSI) since October 2019. Previously, Julia served as a Research Assistant at Boston University, contributing to a PhD project in the Finzi Lab focused on terrestrial biogeochemistry. Julia's research background includes independent investigations into nutrient fluxes into the Charles River during a tenure as a Student Researcher at Fulweiler Lab and a literature review on vegetative barriers for the University of Auckland. Additional experience encompasses leading a scientific team at Fermilab and participation in the Boston University Research Education and Communication of Science program. Julia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Boston University, with a study abroad experience at The University of Auckland.

(CUAHSI) is a 501(c)3 research organization representing more than 130 U.S. universities and international water science-related organizations. CUAHSI receives support from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to develop infrastructure and services for the advancement of water science in the United States.
