Ramon D. Galanes

Ramon D. Galanes has extensive work experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on actuarial roles. Ramon D. currently holds the position of Vice President - LATAM Actuary at Constellation Insurance, Inc. since 2018. Prior to that, they worked at Ohio National Financial Services from 2009 to 2021, where they held various positions including Vice President - LATAM Actuary, 2nd VP, Technical and Planning Actuary, and Gerente de Productos. Before joining Ohio National Financial Services, they worked at Transamerica Re as Lead Pricing Actuary from 2008 to 2009. Ramon D. also worked at Ohio National Financial Services from 2000 to 2008 as an Assistant Vice President - International Operations. Ramon's earlier work experience includes positions at Reinsurance Group of America as a Senior Actuarial Consultant from 1994 to 2000, and at American Bankers Insurance Group as an Actuarial Associate from 1989 to 1994.

Ramon D. Galanes holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Iowa, which they obtained from 1987 to 1989. Ramon D. also has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics from the Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico, completed in 1986. Ramon attended Colegio Sagrados Corazones for their high school education from 1979 to 1982. Additionally, they have earned certifications as an Associate from the Society of Actuaries and as a Fellow from LOMA in 1994.
