Yan Li Xiao

Yan Li Xiao is an accomplished individual with diverse experience across various organizations and initiatives. Currently involved in the 2024 Aspire Leaders Program at Aspire Institute and serving as a Research Intern at the University of Connecticut under Dr. Scanlon, Yan Li Xiao focuses on studying blood production mechanisms through innovative imaging techniques. Yan Li Xiao is also a member of the Student Advisory Board for the 1,000 Dreams Fund, enhancing outreach for the MentorTheir program, and organizes events for TEDxYouth as an Event Organizer. As President of the TEDEd Student Talks Program, Yan Li Xiao leads a large group of students in developing public speaking skills while managing a successful restaurant and spearheading the Clearer Future initiative to provide opportunities for youth. Yan Li Xiao has been recognized as a Top 60 translator for TED Translators, translating over 670 talks, and participated in the Make an Impact Fellowship through Your Big Year®. Yan Li Xiao's educational background includes ongoing studies at the University of Michigan and various training programs, showcasing a commitment to academic and professional growth.
