Jorge Carballo Ramos has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Jorge started their career in 1998 at Michelin as a Lean Manufacturing Engineer in the Industrial Organization Department. In 2000, they joined CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles), where they held multiple roles. Jorge worked as the RAMS Manager for USA Projects, the Engineering Director in a Production Plant & Testing Facility in Sacramento, CA, USA, and the Systems Engineering Manager for various international projects. Jorge also served as the Director of Mexico Underground in Mexico and as the Director of FEVE S/2700 & 2900 in Spain.

Jorge's responsibilities included managing projects, establishing strategies and objectives, overseeing teams, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Jorge also played a key role in transformation processes and cultural change within the company. Jorge has experience in mentoring and supporting the professional and personal growth of individuals in the CAF group. Additionally, they have been involved in open innovation initiatives and the creation of new business models.

In 2017, Jorge became the Operations Director for two high-tech international projects in Saudi Arabia, where they were responsible for project management, customer relations, and commercial improvements.

Throughout their career, Jorge has demonstrated strong leadership skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to adapt and thrive in diverse and challenging environments.

Jorge Carballo Ramos has a diverse education history. Jorge completed an Executive Program in People Leadership and Team Management at Esade in 2022. In 2019, they participated in the Value Innovation Programme at INSEAD. Jorge also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Deusto, which they achieved between 2018 and 2019, specializing in Business Administration and Management. Jorge has pursued various courses in strategy, sales, change management, and leadership at the University of Deusto. Additionally, they completed a course on Managing Globaly in the XXI Century at the Fordham Gabelli School of Business in 2019. Jorge has focused on coaching certifications as well, having obtained the International Coaching Federation (ICF) certification in executive coaching and coaching of teams from the Escuela Europea de Coaching. Jorge holds a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering from Tecnun-Universidad de Navarra and a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, with specializations in mechanical engineering and electric & electronic engineering, respectively.
