Karen Hilliard

Karen Hilliard has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Karen began their career in 2005 as an Events Coordinator and HIV/AIDS Peer Educator for SHARC at Rhodes University. In 2008, they worked as a Personal Assistant for the International Investments division of Broll Property Group. Karen then joined African Agenda in 2010 as a Conference Co-Ordinator Assistant before transitioning to a Senior Project Manager role. In 2020, Karen took on the role of Project Manager at Construct and later became the EMEA Head of Delivery, overseeing projects across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Currently, they serve as the Global Head of Delivery at Construct, where they focus on bridging the gap between technology, education, and employment.

Karen Hilliard completed their education with a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in Anthropology and Politics from Rhodes University, where they studied from 2005 to 2007. In 2008, they attended the University of Cape Town and earned an Honours in Social Science degree with a focus on Justice and Transformation and Politics. Additionally, Karen obtained certification as a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) from the Events Industry Council in January 2017.
