Dermot Carey

Dermot Carey, Director of Safety, Education, Training & Skills Policy at the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) since August 2000, also serves as the Head of Safety Services, driving and developing policy for contractors in the Irish construction industry. Additionally, as the Safe-T-Cert Scheme Manager for the Republic of Ireland at Safe-T-Cert since October 2008, Dermot oversees a health and safety accreditation scheme for construction companies. With a background in engineering and environmental management, Dermot has also served as a Board Member and Non-Executive Director at the Health and Safety Authority, representing employers and managing legislation updates.
