Engineering and Technical Specialists

The Engineering and Technical Specialists team at the Consumer Product Safety Commission is responsible for evaluating the safety and performance of consumer products through rigorous engineering analysis and testing. This multidisciplinary team, consisting of mechanical, fire protection, and industrial engineers, as well as engineering psychologists and IT specialists, collaborates to identify potential hazards, develop safety standards, and provide technical expertise to ensure that products meet regulatory requirements, ultimately protecting public health and safety.
