Melanie Vege has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Melanie started their career at Best Buy in 2002, where they worked as an Operations Supervisor until 2007. Following that, they joined Elgin City Employees Credit Union as a Member Services representative, assisting members with their financial needs and processing loan applications until 2011.

In 2011, Melanie joined Credit Union 1, where they held multiple roles including Member Service Representative, Loss Prevention Coordinator, and Assistant Branch Manager. Melanie worked there until 2016 when they transitioned to Bank of America as a Relationship Manager. At Bank of America, they managed client relationships until 2018.

Their most recent position is with Consumers Credit Union, where they initially served as an Assistant Branch Manager from 2018 to 2022. Currently, they are employed as a Fraud Analyst.

Melanie Vege completed their high school education at Elgin High School, where they earned their High School Diploma with a focus on Business from 1999 to 2003. Finally, Melanie attended Columbia College from 2012 to 2016 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration.
