Christopher J. Laird

Christopher (Chris) Laird is vice president of electric operations for Consumers Energy, the principal subsidiary of CMS Energy. He was named to this position in 2022. Laird has overall responsibility for constructing, operating and maintaining the company’s electric system that provides safe, reliable energy service to 1.8 million electric customers. Laird also oversees grid management and metering operations.
