Sam Pook

Sam Pook has extensive experience in the geothermal energy sector, currently serving as Geothermal Assets Manager at Contact Energy Ltd since January 2000, overseeing seven geothermal power stations and their associated steamfields. Prior to this role, Sam held the position of Steamfields Manager, leading a multidisciplinary team that included steamfield operators, drilling, maintenance staff, system technicians, and engineers. Earlier in the career, Sam gained valuable experience as a Generation Controller, first at ECNZ from May 1991 to January 2000, and later in a shift lead operator role at Contact Energy, where monitoring and control of five geothermal power stations were key responsibilities.
