Chris Armstrong began his CSC career in 2000 following graduation from Florida State University. Chris participated in CSC Miami’s management-training program, where he learned all aspects of the crowd management business. Upon completion of the training program, Chris was hired as a full-time event manager and gained experience working with venues such as Pro Player Stadium, American Airlines Arena (home of the NBA’s Miami Heat), Office Depot Center, and Lockhart Stadium. Chris later transferred to CSC’s San Francisco office, where he was promoted to Assistant Branch Manager and assisted with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office.
Chris was promoted to San Francisco Branch Manager in 2003. In this position, he was responsible for an office with 5 full-time employees and over 450 part-time employees. Since then, Chris has had the opportunity to work on such projects as the Super Bowl, PGA Golf, MLB All-Star FanFest, and NCAA Final Four Basketball. He has 12 years of Candlestick Park operations experience including San Francisco 49ers games, international soccer, stadium concerts, and other special events. His responsibilities at Candlestick Park included staffing deployment plans, budget oversight, post order development, and training and development of staff, supervisors, and managers. Chris maintained a Level 1 rating for NFL Best Practices during his tenure. Current clients served under Chris’ leadership include the Oakland Paramount, San Jose State University, San Mateo Event Center, and the Marin Center.
Chris received CSC’s award for Assistant Branch Manager of the Year in 2008 and 2009, and he received the award for Branch Manager of the Year in 2010. In 2011, Chris was promoted to Regional Manager and now oversees the Seattle, Fresno, Stockton, and San Francisco offices.
Chris has been trained and certified in T.E.A.M., ADA, Hand-Held Metal Detectors, Trained Crowd Manager (TCM) and has certifications including, ICS/NIMS 100, 200, 700a and 800a, Active Shooter: What Can You Do?, Workplace Violence Awareness Training, Workplace Security Awareness Training, and Special Events Contingency Planning.
