Nils van Kleef

Nils van Kleef has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. In 2007, they began their career as a Teaching Assistant at Universiteit Twente, where they taught students about UML and mentored them in programming graphics cards. From 2009 to 2011, Nils worked as a Quality Assurance Manager at Dation. Nils then served as a Badminton Trainer at DBV DIOK from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, Nils completed an internship as a Special Research Student at Kyoto University, where they researched social behavior using computer simulations. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Travel Coordinator at I.C.T.S.V. Inter-Actief. Nils worked as an Intern and completed their Master's thesis at Paiq BV from 2012 to 2013, focusing on making people matches using recommendation machine learning algorithms. Nils also developed photo recommendations for users during this time. In 2013, Nils worked as a Developer at Topicus, where they implemented a hospital declaration system. Nils joined Optimizely in 2014 and held several roles, including Senior Technical Support Engineer, Solutions Engineer in Partnerships, and Technical Training Consultant. In 2020, Nils joined Segment as a Senior Solutions Engineer before transitioning to Contentsquare in 2022, where they are currently the Head of Solutions Engineering for the Benelux & Nordics region.

Nils van Kleef completed their education at the University of Twente. Nils obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Computer Science, which they pursued from 2004 to 2011. Following this, they continued their studies at the same university and completed a Master of Science degree in Human Media Interaction from 2009 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Nils van Kleef also obtained several certifications. Nils became a Professional Scrum Master I through Scrum.org in August 2019. In January 2015, they earned the Optimizely Developer Certified credential from Optimizely. Additionally, Nils obtained the Optimizely Platform Certified certification in October 2014.
