Thomas Griozel

Thomas Griozel has a diverse work experience in software engineering and data engineering roles. Thomas is currently working as a Tech Lead - Software Engineer - Backend, Data at Contentsquare, where they lead a product-oriented team of Data Engineers and handles billions of data points per day. Thomas'sresponsibilities include design and implementation of backend components, optimization and debugging of SQL queries, as well as advocating for software craftsmanship and functional programming. Thomas also takes part in roadmap planning and coordination of cross-team efforts, and conducts performance reviews and career path suggestions for their team.

Prior to their current role, Thomas worked as a Staff Data Engineer at Change.org from January 2020 to February 2021. Before that, they served as a Senior Data Engineer at Early Birds from December 2018 to January 2020, where they focused on creating new data services and improving the machine learning stack. Thomas also worked at Tinyclues as a Data Engineer from March 2017 to September 2018, and at Zendesk and POPSUGAR as a Software Engineer from 2016 to 2017 and 2014 to 2016 respectively. Earlier in their career, they were an Embedded Software Engineer at Wyplay and a Trainee Engineer at SFR.

Throughout their career, Thomas has gained experience in various technologies, including Scala, Akka, Kafka, ClickHouse, Google Cloud Platform services, Spark, Apache Beam, BigQuery, and more. Thomas has also been involved in architectural changes, setting up monitoring systems, and implementing dynamic routers.

Thomas Griozel completed their Master's degree in Computer Science from Polytech Marseille from 2009 to 2012.
