Bert de Muynck

Bert de Muynck is a co-director at MovingCities, a Shanghai-based think tank dedicated to exploring the influence of architecture and urbanism on contemporary urban environments. Since the establishment of MovingCities in 2007 with Mónica Carriço, Bert has engaged in various roles, including as a docent for Context Travel, providing intellectually stimulating tours worldwide. Additionally, Bert de Muynck has pursued a career as an independent writer, contributing articles and critiques on architecture, urbanism, and culture to numerous prestigious publications. Bert has also served as a lecturer at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University and as an assistant professor at the University of Hong Kong, where focus was placed on international education in architecture. Bert de Muynck holds a Master's degree in Engineering Sciences: Architecture from KU Leuven and furthered education at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
