Thomas Kreißl has gained extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Thomas started their career in 2005 as an Industriemechaniker at 3D-Micromac AG, where they worked until 2006. Thomas then joined SKS Kontakttechnik GmbH as a Konstruktionsmechaniker from 2007 to 2010. In 2016, Thomas joined Continental Aerospace Technologies™ as an engine design engineer, a role they held until June 2021. In July 2021, they took up the positions of compliance verification engineer and head of design at the same company.

From 2001 to 2005, they attended Technische Universität Chemnitz, where they obtained a degree as a Facharbeiter in Industriemechaniker Feinwerk- und Gerätetechnik.
In 2010, they enrolled at Berufliches Schulzentrum für Technik August Horch for a two-year period, during which they earned the title of staatlich geprüfter Techniker in Kraftfahrzeugtechnik.
In the same year, they also studied at IHK Chemnitz and completed a program called Ausbildereignung im Sinne des §30 des Bildungsgesetzes (AdA).
Finally, from 2012 to 2016, Thomas pursued their education at the University of Applied Sciences at Zwickau, where they received a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Kraftfahrzeugtechnik/Verbrennungsmotoren.
