Tony Martin is the current Director of Technical Services at CONTINENTAL MANAGEMENT LLC. Tony has over 20 years of experience in the public and private sector managing a variety of programs aimed at improving neighborhoods and people's lives.
Tony began their career in 1978 as a Community Planner for the City of Flint. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing community development plans. Tony also worked closely with local residents to identify needs and priorities for community improvement projects.
In 1980, Tony took a position with Flint NIPP, Inc., where they served as Project Manager for several programs aimed at improving the city's neighborhoods. Tony was also responsible for managing a site office in a historic neighborhood, which offered community organizing and housing improvement services to area residents.
In 1991, Tony left Flint NIPP to join the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development as a Public Housing Revitalization Specialist. In this role, they managed a portfolio of Public Housing Agencies across the country. Tony worked closely with HUD staff and local officials to identify and address problems with public housing developments.
Tony has been with CONTINENTAL MANAGEMENT LLC since 2000, where they currently serve as Director of Technical Services. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the company's technical operations, including information technology, engineering, and facilities management. Tony also works closely with clients to ensure that their needs are met.
Tony Martin earned their MPA from the University of Michigan in public administration. Prior to that, they earned their bachelor's degree in urban studies/affairs from U of M - Flint.
They are on a team with Steve Cook - Regional Manager, Rita Stephens - Regional Manager, and Patrina Smith - Regional Manager. Their manager is T. Van Fox, President.
