Jean-Michel Verdier

Jean-Michel VERDIER is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in engineering and research and development across multiple companies in the automotive sector. From October 2020 to October 2023, Jean-Michel served as Managing Director of Continental Engineering Services and Global R&D VP, focusing on the long-term R&D strategy and overseeing worldwide projects for safety products and wheel brake solutions. Prior to this, Jean-Michel held various leadership roles at Faurecia from August 1999 to October 2020, including Asia Engineering VP, where responsibilities included leading a large engineering team and optimizing engineering strategies across multiple Asian tech centers. Jean-Michel also had a significant tenure at Lear Corporation from June 2010 to May 2018, leading the European R&D and engineering teams in automotive seating systems, focusing on strategic transformation and enhancing financial performance. Educational qualifications include a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Institut français de Mécanique avancée and completion of the New Tech Transformation Program at École Polytechnique.
