Tristan Zajonc

Cofounder & CEO at Continual

Tristan Zajonc is the cofounder and CEO of Continual. Prior to Continual, they were the CTO for Machine Learning at Cloudera from March 2016 to June 2019. At Cloudera, Tristan focused on building the next-generation cloud-native platform for machine learning and AI. Tristan also helped customers unlock the full value of data as CTO of Cloudera's Machine Learning business unit.

Before joining Cloudera, Tristan was a visiting fellow at Harvard University's Institute for Quantitative Social Science from June 2012 to May 2013. At Harvard, they collaborated with other researchers on projects in economics and econometrics. Tristan also developed software for Bayesian estimation of optimal dynamic treatment regimes. Tristan's work on dynamic treatment regimes was published in the Journal of the American Statistical Association.

Prior to Harvard, Tristan was the cofounder and CEO of Sense, Inc., a company that they led from January 2012 to March 2016.

Tristan Zajonc received their PhD in Public Policy from Harvard University. Tristan also holds an MPA/ID from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and a BA in Economics and Mathematics from Pomona College.
