Rick Thompson

As Vice President of Sales Operations and Enablement, Rick Thompson is responsible for leading Getty Images’ overall CRM program strategy and solution design, developing processes and policies that drive efficiency, sales strategy and effectiveness, as well as enablement for the global Sales, Service and Customer Success teams.

His career at Getty Images spans over 12 years during which time Rick has held several leadership positions, with much of his time as Vice President of Creative Subscriptions. In this role, Rick oversaw the development and execution of the company’s global subscription growth strategy, which included the development of the Customer Success function. Prior to Getty Images, Rick was Head of Global Sales and Customer Service at Jupiterimages, which was later acquired by Getty Images in 2009. In fact, Rick was one of the creators of the industry’s first premium creative image subscription at Jupiterimages.

With over 25 years of industry experience, Rick has held several senior sales leadership positions across a variety of companies in the photography and media sectors. These included Dynamic Graphics Group, PictureQuest and Picture Network International, a subsidiary of Kodak.
