Abigail Fateman

Abigail Fateman serves as the Executive Director and Director of Restoration and Land Programs at the East Contra Costa County Habitat Conservancy since October 2002, where management focuses on land acquisition, habitat restoration, and the protection of endangered and threatened species. In addition to this role, Abigail is a Board Member of the National Habitat Conservation Plan Coalition since October 2018, currently holding positions as President and Vice President, and has been Chair of the Program Committee for the Annual Meeting from 2017 to 2023. Previous experience includes serving as a Commissioner for the City of Lafayette's Parks, Trails and Recreation Commission from April 2013 to February 2016, and as a Committee Member for the Lafayette Creeks Committee from March 2011 to January 2013. Additional leadership experience includes Board Chair for the Urban Creeks Council and Crew Supervisor for the East Bay Conservation Corps from 1996 to 1999. Abigail holds an M.S. from the University of Michigan and a B.A. from Wesleyan University.
