Chief Equity Officer/ Assistant Director, Contra Costa Department Of Health Services at Contra Costa County

Gilbert Salinas, MPA, currently serves as the Chief Equity Officer and Assistant Director for the Contra Costa Department of Health Services, a position held since November 2020. Previously, Gilbert held the role of Chief Clinical Officer at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center from May 2009 to November 2020, managing operations for both clinical and non-clinical outpatient services. Gilbert's past experience includes serving as Acting Director of Performance Improvement for the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, and Program Director for the Violence Prevention Coalition of Greater Los Angeles. Additionally, Gilbert directed program operations at Youth ALIVE! from 1996 to 2007. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Administration from Liberty University, a Graduate Program for Clinical Effectiveness from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and certification from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
