Kelly Hines

Kelly Hines is a seasoned mental health professional with extensive experience in counseling and vocational rehabilitation. Currently serving as a Mental Health Vocational Counselor II for Contra Costa County since February 2017, Hines focuses on assessing and counseling clients struggling with mental health and substance use disorders while facilitating coordination of care among colleagues. Previous roles include Mental Health Therapist at Fred Finch Youth Center, providing therapy to at-risk youth and families, and Substance Abuse Counselor at BAART Programs, where Hines managed a caseload using motivational interviewing techniques. Hines has also worked in mental health therapy, case management, vocational rehabilitation, and training in various educational and community settings. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Counseling from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Simmons University.
