Kendra Carr

Kendra Carr, Ed.D., serves as the Co-Director of the Office of Racial Equity and Social Justice for Contra Costa County since October 2023. As Co-Founder of Our Collective Impact, LLC, Kendra is dedicated to dismantling inequitable achievement structures affecting students from the Global Majority through collaborative inquiry and research. Previous roles include Senior Director of Research and Sports Lab, and Chief Program Officer at Girls Leadership, and Program Director at Powerful Beyond Measure. Kendra also held leadership positions at Holy Names High School, including Principal and Assistant Principal, and was Dean of Students early in the career. Kendra's educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Saint Mary's College of California, a Master of Arts in Education with a focus on Equity & Social Justice from San Francisco State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Santa Clara University.
