Stephen Field

Stephen Field, DO, currently serves as the Behavioral Health Services Medical Director for Contra Costa County since July 2021. Prior to this role, Stephen held the position of C&L Psychiatric and Inpatient Psychiatric Chief at Traditions Behavioral Health from February 2017 to July 2021, and worked as a Clinical Psychiatrist at FieldPsychiatry Inc. from May 2014 to July 2017. Stephen's expertise includes treating adults with mood disorders, depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges, utilizing both psychotherapy and medication management. Additional experience encompasses work with Special Service for Groups, UCLA Health System, and the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. Stephen earned a Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Western University of Health Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oakland University.
