Tommy Fenster

Tommy Fenster is a dedicated professional in the field of agroecology and sustainable agriculture, currently serving as a Consultant at Agroecology Consulting since November 2024. As a PhD Candidate and researcher at the University of California, Davis, and a Scientific Researcher at Ecdysis Foundation, Tommy specializes in quantifying regenerative agricultural practices, focusing on yields, biodiversity, and ecosystem services. In addition to research roles, Tommy holds a public member seat on the Contra Costa County Integrated Pest Management Advisory Committee, leading the Nature-Based Climate Solutions sub-committee. Previous experiences include internships and research positions at Berkeley Lab and California State University - East Bay, as well as community outreach coordination at StopWaste. Tommy holds a PhD in Agroecology and Sustainable Agriculture from the University of California, Davis, complemented by a Master's degree in Biology and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Analysis from California State University - East Bay and Pomona College, respectively.
