Steve Welch

Steve Welch has an extensive background in engineering and management, having served in various roles at Contra Costa Water District from January 1997 to the present, including General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Director of Engineering, and Principal Engineer. Additionally, Steve has been the owner of Rancho Las Juntas, operating a 10-acre vineyard in Franklin Canyon, California, since January 2003, with affiliations including Bogle, Diageo, and Gallo Sonoma. Prior to Contra Costa Water District, Steve held engineering positions at EBMUD and Black and Veatch. Steve holds multiple degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, including an M.B.A. in Business, a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, alongside a business administration certificate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
