Christopher Petkas serves as a General Partner at Contrarian Thinking Capital since March 2023. Previously, Christopher held the role of AI/ML Portfolio at the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) from 2023 to 2025. In prior positions, Christopher was the Director of Strategy and Business Development for Defense & Intelligence at Axon (2021-2022) and headed Business Development for Defense at Primer.ai (July 2020 - October 2021). Christopher's military background includes serving as a Naval Special Warfare Officer (SEAL) from 2012 to 2020 and as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy from 2010 to 2012. Christopher holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a BS in International Relations and Affairs from the United States Naval Academy, with earlier education at The Lawrenceville School.
