Maria Fernanda Escobar Garcia is an experienced legal professional currently serving as the Legal Manager at Controles Empresariales since April 2024 and as a member of the management team at WEDAOLATAM since May 2023, focusing on empowering women in technology across Latin America. Previously, Maria served as the Legal Director at ADL Digital Lab from March 2021 to January 2023, providing legal advice across various ecosystems, and as the head of the legal department at SONDA for over a decade, where responsibilities included managing commercial and corporate legal matters. Maria's career began as a legal assistant at GMCA LEGAL, progressing to areas of commercial and public contracting. Maria holds degrees in Law and Commercial Law from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, completing studies in 2006 and further specializing in 2009.
